This card is my fav coz it looks wicked but people who think it can't be destroyed by magic effect and trap are wrong because I've looked it up on the net and it actually says these cards cannot be destroyed by magic effect and traps that designate this card, meaning cards like raigeki break, man eater bug and tribute to the doomed won't work but cards like mirror force, cyber jar and dark hole will.

these cards annoy and frustrate me for they are to powerful!! they should not be allowed, it isn't fair. also my friends always play that if u use strike ninjas affect my battle phase is stopped, is this right.

Slifer The Sky Dragon : Slifer has two effects & his true effects is as follows. (1st Effect) ATK X000/DEF X000. X stands for the number of cards that the controller of this card gets in hand. If controller has 6 cards in hand, Slifer\'s ATK 6000/DEF 6000. In addition Slifers 1st effect protects him from his own 2nd effect. So when battling with someone who also has Slifer that slifer will not be damaged by effect. (2nd Effect) Each time your opponent summons a monster onto the field, if it is in Attack Position, decrease its ATK by 2000 points; if it is in Defence Position, decrease its DEF by 2000 points. If the ATK or DEF of that monster is reduced to 0 by this effect, destroy that monster. In addition if Slifer\'s effect reduces Blue Eyes White Dragon ATK 3000 to 1000 because of the 2000 points reduce by Slifer\'s effect, as long as Slifer remains on the field Blue Eyes White Dragon ATK 1000 will remain. This effects all high powered monsters.

This card is GREAT! look at its potential, it could destroy all the opposition as long as you have enough cards in your hand. Just hope they don\'t have a card destruction or a card of a similar effect.
If all else fail there is the ace effect which has saved me lots of times!

Slifer is powerful, and can make it awkward for the opposing duelist. But the problem with it\'s ability to gain infinite attack points is in one card, magic cylinder. Raising your attack to stupidly high levels can be fun, but it\'s far too dangerous. One attack can cost you the duel.
I also see slifer as having too unstable stats. A good duelist makes use of all the cards in his hand, but slifer limits this as you want to keep some cards.
